TSUED Students in motor accident which occurred at Kobape area on the Abeokuta–Sagamu Highway.
18 students of the Tai Solarin University of Education (TSUED), Ijagun, who were travelling to the state capital in a bus.
The bus lost control following alleged excessive speed. A tyre got and the bus somersaulted.
The students were said to be going to Abeokuta to resume their protest on the state government’s decision to merge their institution with the Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago–Iwoye.
The President of the Students’ Union Government (SUG), Oyekanmi Abdullahi, said they planned to meet with the governor, the Commissioner for Education and the Chief Judge with a view to persuading them to have a rethink on the proposed merger.
The injured students were rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Idi Aba, Abeokuta.
