The US embassy on Monday issued a release claiming gun shots had been fired within the premises of their offices located at Area 10 in Abuja, adding that two people had been arrested by police in connection with the incident.
The statement reads thus: “We believe there were shots fired in the vicinity of the U.S. embassy. The Nigerian authorities have two individuals in custody. We refer you to the Nigeria police for further information.”
